Web Consortium (W3C) works with industry groups, Internet browsers, technology
companies and regulators to develop a DNT technology standard. Although
progress has been made, it has been slow. No standard was adopted on this date.
As such, My Gids does not generally respond to “not detect” signals.
HOW ARE COOKIES USED FOR ADVERTISING PURPOSES?
Cookies and other advertising technologies such as beacons, pixels and
labels help us serve you relevant advertising effectively. They also help us
provide collaborative auditing, research and reporting to advertisers,
understand and improve our service, and know when content has been shown to
you. Note: Since your web browser can request ads and beacons directly from
third-party ad network servers, these networks may view, edit or set
third-party cookies just as if you requested a web page from their website. Ads
served by My Gids can also be set from third party cookies. If you are
subscribed to http://mygids.co.za/ or any other service referred to in this
Cookie Policy or to a third-party partner’s My Gids website and one of our
cookies on your device identify you, your use (such as your browsing behavior)
and log data (such as your IP address) will be associated with us by your
account as set out in sections 1.3 and 1.4 of our Privacy Policy. We also use
third party data and your profile and My Gids activity data. If you are a My Gids
member but you have not subscribed to a browser on your account, My Gids can
still register your interaction with our services on that browser. 30 days to
generate usage analytics for our services, which analytics we can share in a
collaborative form with our advertising clients.
If you do not delete these cookies from your browser, we may use this
